Rackan began as an OTC foreign exchange (FX) desk for businesses, quoting rates and settling currency for companies paying suppliers, receiving revenue and managing money across borders.
That work showed us where cross-border money gets stuck: exchange rates that aren't clear until it's too late, payments that stall between banks, and funds scattered across currencies with no single view of what they're worth.
The FX desk is still at the heart of what we do. Today we're building on that expertise to power cross-border payments, FX and treasury management, international remittances and everyday payments like bills and school fees, for businesses and individuals moving money between Africa and the world.
